Three predefined templates for contact sheets are available (Portfolio Presentation, Documentation Photos, and Contact Sheets). They differ in their layouts and how each page’s contents are displayed. To save your customized page layout and content settings for later re-use, click Save Settings. Saved settings are shown in the Templates section. To delete a saved setting, click the red cross icon at the top right corner of that saved setting.
The Layout section offers controls for the contact sheet’s number of columns and number of rows. The Cells’ ratio of sides can be any of the most common photo formats: 1:1, 3:2, 4:3, or 16:9. The Grid width sets the size of the spaces between the pictures on the page.
Pictures’ captions are automatically generated using the program’s variable text feature, based on the metadata stored in each photo. There are options here for setting whether or not to show page headers and footers and captions above and below each photo. To edit these texts if desired, switch into Preview mode and click into a text field directly on the page.
The bottommost settings here control Image placement. Use them to choose an Image layout from among the following options:
Crop – each photo is placed without adapting the size of the photo box.
Fit – each photo is resized to fit its box.
Use Image rotation to control rotation:
Original – each photo is placed into its box without rotation.
Automatic rotation – each photo is automatically rotated to respect the rotation of its photo box.
